Default May buy a FujiS5 today

I've been thinking about it for a while now, and I think I'm going to do it. Trade in my FujiS2, fm3a and a 50mm 1.2 lens and pay a little money and get a FujiS5.

Anyone else a Fuji fan? I love the Nikon glass and camera bodies but i've always loved the fuji sensor.

Default A weekend with the S5

Well its been a few days now and im impressed. My previous cameras were the FujiS2, Nikon F80 and the Nikon D70. The first thing that caught my attention was the lack of noise at High iso, after seeing the photo on my screen I had to check my camera to see if it was on 3200iso, Im blown away at the noise reduction. The body is streets ahead of my other cameras, its fully built like a tank. My hat goes off for Nikon in making such a solid body. The amount of menu options has doubled compared to my other cameras. The in built commander mode works really well with my SB800 and Sb600s. And it also says it can do faster flash sync speeds than 250th with these two flashes!! That is nice.

I think its going to take me a few months to really get a good feel for the sensor. I still need to wait a while for the photoshop RAW plugin. But until then I'm going to have a fun time putting this camera through its paces.

Default first shoot with the S5

After a weekend of breaking it in I used it on a folio shoot this Monday to really put it through its paces.
