Of course.. it better be a sexy beast of a camera if im putting down that kind of money. So I have another question (surprise? umm.. no) I am crazy about the way I take care of my things, so I'm wondering.. what is the best temperature to store a digital camera in? I know, it sounds random, but seriously, how cold is too cold, and when is it to hot? Also, if i were say, surfing, would it be bad to leave it on my towel in the sun??

haha I have drained all the knowledge out of you Will.. Yet i proceed with this Chinese-torture way of questioning.. how diabolically sinister I am! OK, you know what I'm going to say, so I'll just launch right into ti without introduction! What is the best Nikon for a aspiring noob photographer? Obviously something thats easy to use, or else I would blog my questions till I was blue in the face, but also the one with the most bang for my buck.. Something professional, yet intermediate.. and dare I say it on talknikon.com.. maybe a Nikon is not the best for what I am looking for? I'll take all your suggestions with an open mind (as open as a hard-core republican, MAC lover, Nikon noob, and california dude can be!). Thanks again William!

The D40 or D50 would probably be a good choice

What is that, discount cameras? What is the URL for that site? Also how much do you think shipping will be for a D40? Thanks again, your help is much appreciated!

no its sorta like ebay but its not an auction

craigslist.org

i don't know about shipping depends on the seller and keep in mind if you buy it you'll need a lens

Ok, whats a good (but inexpensive) lens for the D40? And also back to my question before, is it good to have a bag with this camera?

18-55mm lens is pretty cheap and its an all around lens (you should try to buy the camera with the lens)

I think its a pretty good idea to have a bag for any SLR just for safety reasons
