Instructions For Posting Pictures To The Show Off Fourm

I wrote these instructions for another forum I belong to but these instructions will work for this forum also.
There are also other free and pay hosting sites out there besides these two so if your using one of them and your pictures still won't upload shoot me a PM and I'll see if I can't get it figured out.....

First and foremost....Know where your pictures are on your computer.
I transfer all of the ones I'm going to upload into a separate folder made up in My Pictures in Windows.
This makes it much easier to find the ones I want to upload than searching through the hundred other picture folders I have to find the right ones.
I also resize them to no more than 800 pixels on the long side before putting them in this separate folder.

Next since you Can Not upload your pictures directly from your computer you will need to upload them to a photo sharing site such as Photobucket or Imageshack.
Both of these are free hosting sites.

I use Photobucket so the instructions to get them from Photobucket to here are based on that.

Ok now set up your account at Photobucket and open up your album.
You will see some Browse Buttons at the top of the page.
Click on one and you will get a pop-up window with whatever files and folders are on your computer.
Find the picture folder you set up....open it....then Double Click on the picture you want to upload.
You will see the name of that particular picture jump into the open box next to that browse button.
Keep clicking the next Browse Button down for each picture you are uploading.
Now click the upload button and your pictures will be tranfered into your album there.

When your ready to tranfer them here.....
I always open up my Internet Browser a second time so I have TN on one and Photobucket on the other so I don't lose my post by having to go out of TN.
Ok on the Photobucket page...click the "Direct Link" below the picture you want to put here......no need to copy.....it has done it for you.
Now bring up TN in the seperate browser.
Click the New Thread icon if you are going to start a new thread or the Post Reply icon if your going to be adding them to a thread you already have going.
At the top of the reply window you will see a bunch of icons.....
Click the fifth one from the right...the one that looks like a mountain.
You should now have a pop-up box that opened.
Get rid of the http// in the box.....then paste your photo (Ctrl-V).....then click OK.
Your picture should appear in the reply window.
If you are adding more than one picture to the thread at that time...double space then hit the mountain icon again for each picture your uploading.
Now click Submit New Thread and your picture will show up on the thread.
