Spilled

So I spilled cherry coke on my Macbook.. yummy. The logic board is ruined and so is the keyboard (luckily the harddrive is okay, so no photos lost =] but what a close call). It would be a thousand dollar repair so I decided just to get a new one..
I looked at the macbook pro because it has more ram and a bigger harddrive (I had my harddrive filled up with photos, and the low ram on my old one made it run photoshop at turtle speed), but then I found out I can upgrade an entry level macbook to 4gb ram and 160gb harddrive, making the grand total 1800. Whereas if I got a 4gb ram and 160gb harddrive on the pro, it would end up being 2700.. Obviously the screen size is better; the computer nicer, but I dont think Im willing to pay that extra thousand for a "nicer" computer, when I can get something just as practicle for less.
Ill be getting Leapard too! So Im pretty excited about that.. apparently its quite a bit fatser than tiger, so looking forward to that speed.

So, even though Im pretty put out by the spill and all the money now gone from my pocket, Im excited about being able to run photoshop quickly now!!

ugh i was hoping it was gonna be just the keyboard...but you get to get a brand new one so thats kool lol Im glad you did not lose any pics! That would have been no fun! ;-)

Geese Taylor I don't know whether to be sad or happy for you...

As I write this out to work cause my not too very old Windoze based laptop at home has crapped out again....
Don't know yet if I can salvage my pic's either.....

By the way....are you going to get us a pic of that Leapard that comes with it.....

That sucks.. Im never going to forget to backup my photos again, this was way too close of a call
