Default Touching up your photos in photoshop

In this article I will be telling you ways of making your photos have a little more of a kick

It’s always best to duplicate your image layer so if you mess up you can always start over! To do that select the layer and hit command (Mac) or control (pc) j.

Ok now that we have a duplicate of the image go to Image > Adjustments > Brightness/Contrast. Now play around with these, usually you will want to bump them up unless your photo is really bright.

Duplicate that layer then hit control shift u (this desaturates the image) and then set the blending layer to overlay and lower the layer opacity to something like 55 or whatever looks good with your picture.

So that’s the end of that little touching up bit it’s not much but it sometimes adds a nice touch to your photos.

Here are some more tips to use if you would like.

Levels: it can do it automatically (fast) or you can do it yourself. Auto levels turns out nice most of the time so if you don’t want to play around with it just go to Image > Adjustments > Auto Levels. If your more adventures and would like to do it yourself just hit control (pc) or command (mac) L and it should open the levels window.

Curves are another nice thing to try. Again.. You can do auto curves. Go to Image > Adjustments > Auto Curves. And you can also just do the curves yourself. Its Command or control M

Well there’s more but I cant think of anything else and I’m a beginner so I don’t that much about photoshop

Hopefully this helped yo and if anyone would like to add something please do!
