Just found this forum.
I'm the proud owner of a D40x.
I've had it about six months and loving it.
Only have two lenses for it so far...18to55mm and 55to200mm.
Hoping to get a VR lens soon as I take a lot of wildlife shots then maybe a Macro lens a bit later.
I posted a few pictures and comments are welcome...good or bad.
I know some of them are a little noisy...still working on that.
I'm using Picasa for post processing and I get a little carried away with the sharpen feature as they always look dull on my laptop....

Thanks for the welcome Will.

Yup the D40x is my first DSLR.
Long story....I wanted and ordered a D80 but got scamed by one of the "Discount" Internet Camera Stores.....Live and Learn.
What came was the D40x without the 18to55mm lens and a 55to200mm instead of the 70to300mm VR I ordered.
After a long battle I did get the 18to55mm lens but nothing else.
But hey the D40x is fine for now...no it's not the D80 but it's still a Nikon.

I was going to get a D40 (before the D40x) came out but got the D80 instead.
