Some recommendations please?

Im so glad to hear you decided on a DSLR!

Before you buy it though, make sure it is EXCACTLY what you want, and your not getting it just cause its amazing, and we said to! The worst thing in the world is buying a camera thats $400+ only to find out you hate it!

Id reccomend trying it out atr bestbuy.. they carry the D-line now. Also, my target has D40's so you could try there too.. Idk if your would though, maybe.

Haha, some peole have different tastes than us will.. My aunt only likes Canons, she refuses to even touch Nikons.

All I was saying was that before you spend all that money, make sure you try it out first! It would suck to be so excited, and finally get it, than hate it!

And you can never sell it at the price you bought it for!

If you are paying that much for a camera, its better to buy a DSLR you will keep for a long time, than to buy a p+s to hold you over, and then deal with depreciation.. thats my two-cents anyway.

Hey Ellie! Believe me, you do not want another point and shoot, they are for the ametuers in this bussiness. If you have the drive and the will to take it to the next level, go for the dslr.

But like vista said, if you dont really have a passion for it, its dumb to spend the money on it!

Anyone have this camera? It has the same megapixels as the D80, so whats the boost in price for? I mean, maybe better features, sure, but $1000 boost is ridiculous!
