Not a super high quality image, but this is why you want to be able to bounce your flash. We were in a small bathroom, my wife held the kitten, and I bounced the SB-800 flash off the ceiling. No hard shadows, light is nice and even...

LOL thats cool, thanks for demonstrating the proper way to bounce a flash! I know if I tried to take that photo without bouncing my flash, it would make the kitten look like a plastic lawn ornemant!
