Pixma MP180.. Defective
Yeah, Im kind of upset right now..
I got a Canon Pixma MP180 printer on sale at target for $85.. It was a good deal that I had stubled upon when looking for iPod earphones .. I was excited.
So I bought it, came home, read some reviews before opening it so it could still be returned. Seemed good for $85, great even, so I ripped open the packaging.
I had been at the beach over memorial day weekend and had a list of at least a hundred photos long to get printed. Hoa boy was I excited to get started. First print, 2x darker than on my computer. Second print, with adjusted settings, still 2x darker, and now with messy ink blotches on the back. Third print, and this is when I decided this thing is a POS, was still dark, still had ink splotches, and to add to my already high frustration levels it now had two pink lines running the length of the photo.
So its no big deal, because it can still be returned, but its just annoying. So, after the long story, heres the question. What brand printer is good? Even if this one is just defective, Im not buying it again. Never. Maybe a Kodak, Ive read some good reviews on those....
